Draft Zero has landed!

The YA Urban Fantasy has clocked in at 104,717 words for draft zero.

It is a messy draft. A broken, slightly crooked draft, but it is, nonetheless, a draft.

Pom-poms!!! *\0/**\0/**\0/**\0/**\0/**\0/**\0/**\0/**\0/**\0/**\0/**\0/**\0/*

It will be going into the metaphorical drawer to fester until April at which point the gruelling work of turning it from a wonky draft zero into a relatively respectable draft one will begin. After that, we shall see.

In the meantime there are a couple of shorts I've had burbling in the back of my brain that I want to get out on paper and I'm going to try to do a short story a week for the next month and see how that goes. The only rule will be that it will have to be a polished object by the end of the week I started it.

In other news: I have a stack of reading to catch up with, my TBR pile is reaching historically epic (as opposed to just epic) proportions and thanks to my Christmas voucher I have more reading material on the way. I could have read more yesterday but I opted in favour of domestic detail instead. So, while I may not have been well-read yesterday afternoon I did do the laundry, change the bed, hoover the carpets, take the dogs out, and visited friends and m'mother so I have been productive. ;o)

Thank you! It's the first really long piece I've completed so I'm chuffed at that, too. :-)
