We have all...the time...in the world...

Except that most of it is taken up with day-jobbery and then you turn round and look back at where you've been and realise it's been around three weeks since you've been online in anything other than a work context. Aaargh!

However, I have not been completely idle so my Medium short story is coming along - after three false starts, but if there's one thing I know about myself it's that where I start in a story is never the real start of things. Having this knowledge means I'm not disappointed when I have to chop out the first few paragraphs/ chapters. And yet, even with this knowledge, I still start in the wrong place. It's almost as if my brain wants it out on paper/ in pixels and then it can go "see!? Background stuff you need to know. Bet you'd have forgotten it if I hadn't made you write it down. Eh? Eh?"

Today is a day of extreme busyness and I'm working until 21:00hrs but hopefully, during the 30 minutes I will probably have off, I will be able to get a few more pages done. By the time I get home all I'll be capable of is having a cup of tea and some toast and then going to bed. ::sigh:: When's the weekend again?

However, in joy joy news I have two new pairs of glasses. Shiny! I love 2-for-1 offers. I am wearing the red frames/ purple arms pair at the moment; tomorrow I may wear the other pair.

The handy thing is that you can just cut out what the reader doesn't need to know and then paste it into a notes document.

I dread to think what it would have been like in the days of typewriters. (I have been gultily watching re-reruns of Murder She Wrote and it's been fascinating watching the late 1980's/ early 1990's episodes when she made the transition from typewriter to computer and it was one of the clunky monitors where you had the choice of green text or orange on a black background and you could get the contents of your hard drive onto a floppy!)
